Recently I had the chance to spend a few days in Collingwood, Ontario, near the Blue Mountain Ski Resort. While the ski resort offers luxurious accommodations, with all the conveniences and comforts of home, I chose to do some camping instead, mostly because of my dog. So in this video, I will show you a bit of the Ski Resort Village and then share the sounds and sights of Craigleith Provincial Park. I spent 3 days here, and I have some observations that might be relevant if you are considering coming here. I will go into the cost, how to book, and things I liked and disliked about my time here.
Craigleith Provincial Provincal park is nestled along the shores of Georgian Bay and offers a serene and natural setting for camping. Upon arriving, the first thing you'll notice is the stunning waterfront. The rocky shoreline and clear blue waters provide a perfect backdrop for relaxation and exploration.
The park offers both tent and RV sites, with options for electrical hookups. I chose a spot close to the water, which gave me easy access to the beach area where my dog could enjoy some playtime. The park is pet-friendly, which was a major plus for me and my German Shorthaired Pointer.
One of the highlights of my stay was the beautiful sunsets over the bay. The colors were absolutely breathtaking and made for some great photo opportunities.
While my overall experience was positive, there were a few things I didn't love. The park can get quite busy, especially on weekends, which means it might not be as peaceful as some more remote camping locations. Additionally, the rocky shoreline, while beautiful, isn't ideal for traditional beach activities like swimming or sunbathing.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I had a fantastic time at Craigleith Provincial Park. The natural beauty, combined with the convenience of nearby attractions like the Blue Mountain Village, makes it a great destination for a camping trip.
If you're looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation, I highly recommend giving Craigleith a try. Thanks for joining me on this camping adventure. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more travel and adventure videos. Until next time, happy camping!"
