BGG comment from designer Scott Rogers:
"Great video. I really love how stressed Julie got playing this game. Her facial expressions are priceless.
A few notes/corrections:
The Cook moves to the red named spaces only. The Brambles do not count as a named space (it's technically an area)
Don't forget that once you draw 3 bones, your draw phase is over.
For maintenance purposes, I recommend putting tokens into the BBQ tray after you draw them. You might forget or lose count as you draw tokens.
You keep Search and Objective cards whenever a character is placed on the meat hook. Put a new character on the van and keep playing!
Doors and Windows act a normal space. If you stop on it when it is unbroken, you don't take a blood spatter. However, you can choose to "skip over" it (you're breaking through the door/window) but you take 1 blood spatter and turn it to its broken side. Now, whenever you move through it as a space, you take a blood spatter unless you have the careful card.
At 41:50 I'm not sure if you played it correctly. The rulebook states: " If Leatherface has remaining movement after causing you to flee, he will continue
to use that movement by moving towards the next closest Character standee other than your own (he will not continue to move towards you with his current movement)." - since Leatherface had remaining movement (he was at 3) he would have moved into the space with Pam, but since Jerry was also in that space, each character would take 1 blood spatter and force each of them to flee 3 spaces.
Gas cans go on the character immediately when they are found (did you draw "punctured gas can"? I must have missed that)
The turn you found the gas can and the keys, Leatherface becomes enraged. If you draw three Leatherface tokens after that, that token will still be placed onto his chart and increase his stats.
Congrats on winning!"
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Board Game
The co-operative game The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Game is based on the 1974 movie of the same name, and the plot of the game follows that storyline. You and your friends have run out of gas on the side of the highway and need to find help. You need to search for keys and gas by using actions to flip tokens, and once those items have been found you need to get back to the van in order to escape. Leatherface will chase the players throughout the map, and if he catches a player, he takes them to the Killing Room. Once there, the player has three turns to attempt escape before Leatherface eliminates the player.
A new game of horror from designer Scott Rogers. The players' van has run out of gas, leaving them stranded and at the mercy of the Slaughter family! Work together and push your luck to escape. In this cooperative game, all players win or lose as a group. Pull tokens from a gruesome bag to take actions - but be careful, pulling too many may antagonize the Slaughter family! Player Count: 1-4, Play Time: 60 Minutes, Age Range: 14+
