This is an unpopular opinion and you might judge me for this, but here goes: I don’t really like "travel."
It throws off your routines, screws up your biological clock, kills your productivity. I’ve made specific choices to be able to do work I don’t need a vacation from.
That's why I prefer "mini lives." Instead of a week or two of vacation, spend a whole month or two months in a place that's always fascinated you. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in Paris, or New York, or a cabin in the woods? With a mini life, you don’t just visit and wonder, you get a real taste of what it would be like.
During your mini life, you live your normal life, follow your usual routines, and keep working. You naturally make new discoveries, meet new people, and grow as a person. You return to your home base with fresh eyes.
B roll: laptop on a beach, working in a cafe, laughing over dinner and drinks with new friends, climbing a mountain to the top.
