June 13, 2002: Scotty Bowman already owned the NHL records for most regular-season coaching victories and most Playoffs coaching victories when he guided Detroit to the 2002 Stanley Cup Final. But by steering that team full of future Hall of Famers home in his final season behind the bench, Bowman eclipsed his mentor, Toe Blake, by winning a record ninth Stanley Cup.
