The Baaka Pygmies live like elves, deep in the forest, hidden under the cover of leaves. Their home is the great African equatorial rainforest. It’s here that they sing polyphonic songs with a unique musical texture. These songs express their beliefs in the spirits of the forest. UNESCO proclaimed the oral tradition of the Baaka Pygmies a masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
