The United Nations has been, for the last two years, engaged in a global consultative process to develop a new development agenda with a new set of goals that would replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The first concrete draft of the proposed goals were released by the UN's Open Working Group, presented to the UN General Assembly in September 2014, and to be adopted in 2015. Our panel of experts shed light on the critical issues and the major gaps in the current proposals.
