On 4 October, 2022 the Minister in charge of Soil and Water Conservation, Government of Meghalaya and ao Chief Guest on the occasion, Hamletson Dohling had laid the foundation of the new building of the Lummawbah Government Lower Primary School and also the Water Supply Scheme that has been funded by the Department of Soil and Water Conservation. Also present during the function was the Director of the concerned department, I Rynjah, members of the Dorbar Shnong, Lummawbah, Earnest Thangkhiew and Arju Dkhar, residents of the area besides others.
