We spent the day at Bruny Island which is situated off the East coast of Tasmania. We drove onto the ferry (SeaLink), which took about 20 minutes to get there ⛴
First we stopped at The Neck Lookout, which is a view of a narrow strip of land with connects the north and south of the island. A short climb up 279 steps takes you to the lookout where you have 360 degree views of the island.
Then we headed to Adventure Bay where we departed for a 3 hour wilderness cruise with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys. We got up close to some of Australia's highest sea cliffs, sea caves, Australian fur seals, New Zealand fur seals and even a pod of DOLPHINS, which followed the boat for ages 🐬 We also crossed from the Tasman Sea into the Southern Ocean 🌊
Afterwards we headed to the Cape Bruny Lighthouse, but got lost up some mountains after Apple Maps took us in the completely wrong direction (we now use Google Maps 😂).
