This film shows community members from two districts in Western Uganda making clear asks of those who makes decisions about their lives.
They ask for systematic support from the local, national, regional
and global levels. They ask for support from multiple sectors; including civil society government. They ask for both changes in the ways funds flow and for better accountability of their states. They ask for a range of both technical support (the what) and
systematic support (the how).
This film was produced by the Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance in the hope that the voices, experience, wishes, knowledge and insight of those affected by climate change will be heard and responded to more effectively than they are at present.
We encourage all other CSOs to do the same exercise and work
collectively to support communities adapting to climate change.
This film was shown to delegates at the 8th annual conference on community based adaptation to climate change, in Kathmandu, Nepal from 24-30 April 2014.
