Butter chicken is one of the most popular curry worldwide. This is how I make it at home. To make this creamy and dreamy chicken recipe, you will need
450 grams approx boneless chicken
3 medium size tomatoes
1 small onion
1 inch ginger
4-5 garlic cloves
1 green chili
8-10 Cashews
Whole spices (2 cardamom, 1 black cardamom, 3 kashmiri chilies, 1/2 inch cinnamon, 2 cloves)
Powder spices (1/4 tsp turmeric, 1.5 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp cumin coriender, 1 tsp kasoori methi)
2 tbs Butter
2 tbs Fresh cream
Salt to taste
1-2 tsp oil
Coriender leaves
* Chicken marination
2 tbs thick yogurt
1 tbs ginger garlic paste
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
1 tsp cumin coriander powder
1/4 tsp garam masala & raw mango powder
1 tsp kasoori methi
Salt to taste
1 tbs Oil
Process-
→ Marinate the chicken with all ingredients and keep
refrigerating for a minimum of 1 hour
→ In pan, add little oil, whole spices, sliced onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, and chilies
→ Cook them until they soften and grind into smooth puree
→ Saute marinated chicken with some butter until half
done (can also be grilled)
→ Again, take some butter in a pan and add powder spices and puree
→ Add salt and sugar to taste and cook the gravy for 5-10
minutes
Add grilled chicken in a gravy and cook
Finally, add kasoori methi, coriander leaves, and fresh
cream
→ I served this butter chicken with tandoori rotis
