This is the concluding chapter of my 3-part video "A Train Odyssey 2". This time I take the AMTRAK "Empire Builder" from Portland, Oregon to Chicago, starting on May 21, 2018 and ending on May 23.
Part 1 was the longest train video I had posted up that time, at just under 3 hours, and Part 2 come in somewhat shorter than that. I assumed that Part 3 would be the shortest, since my previous Empire Builder video was not all that long; however, that trip had been in the winter when days were quite short and sunlight was in short supply....a lot of good stuff went unseen due to darkness. But this time most of the good stuff WAS visible and therefore more video was taken. And then there was the fact that the previously unseen areas included the beautiful Columbia River and the areas around Glacier National Park, and that good scenery limited how much I could just 'leave on the cutting room floor' (although I DID take a lot of time and was tighter with my editing than usual). So anyway, this video clocks in at just under 4 hours!
