Today’s Reflection on the Readings
The purpose of the Son of God's appearance, according to St. John, was to destroy the devil's works, according to today's Mass Gospel reading. Yes, dear friends—each of us is being called by today's gospel to follow Jesus in the same way that Andrew and Simon did. Although we are flawed, prone to making mistakes, and occasionally prone to following the advice of the little devil, we are invited to place our trust in Him and in His Word. If we do so, He will accept us, embrace us, and strengthen each of us in order to complete the task that has been given to us.

Prayer
Lord, I acknowledge your kindness to me and to my Mother Mary's Protection channel. Lord, please continue to be kind to each member of my family. Lord, help us in all our areas of weakness and look at us as you did at Simon. Lord, grant us the ability to freely share about you in our current circumstance as we navigate life. Lord, keep us in your thoughts at all times.
May almighty God bless us, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
