One of the best ways to improve your truck or SUV’s braking performance is by adding bigger brake calipers. Problem is, your wheel diameter simply may not have enough room to fit a large solid caliper. That’s why the new Wilwood AERO6-DM kits are so clever. The “6” stands for six-piston calipers, so there’s plenty of clamping force on the rotor. But more importantly, the “DM” stands for direct-mount—which means the calipers can fit right on the spindle with no extra brackets. That keeps the whole package really compact, so it’ll fit behind a wheel as small as 17 inches.
