0:01 A good view of the light signal receiver that displayed commands from the central fire director as to where the crews should be aiming their guns. The shroud sometimes fitted to make the lights better visible in bright conditions is also seen. This system was used on the Flak 18 and 36 but replaced on the 37 by indicator dials.
0:14 The "Zünderstellmaschine" automatic fuze setter in action. 88mm high explosive shells were fitted with a clockwork time fuze that needed to be set before firing, in order to speed up the process this device did it automatically again receiving commands from the central fire director. There were two stations so the loader always had a correctly set round ready to be fired. Also of note is that the edges of the breech have been painted a lighter color in order to make them more visible in low light conditions.
