These ARE NOT LESSONS. These are virtual practice buddies. I do not talk, except to say what exercise it is I am playing.
Reminders for my beginners:
Remember sing before you play.
The blow is like you are steaming up a mirror.
Some of you will need to imagine you are getting ready to lick your lips.
Others will need to imagine you are getting ready to spit. Whatever I told you to do.
Reminders for everyone:
This may not be the sound I played for you in the lessons, nor the length, nor the speed, etc. play it like I played for you in the lesson. A practice buddy is important to keep you motivated and a buddy might not give you the sound you need either. So Keep listening to your heroes and imitate that.
I disabled comments because that's not what these are here for. If you want to talk to me, send a message via You Tube or my website HoustonTrumpetLessons.com I do like to hear from fellow students of trumpet. We have never learned it all and we are all still looking to be better trumpet players and better human beings. If you are a student of Mr. Adam, please write as well. I think the best tribute to him is to try to pass on what we have learned and perhaps build on it. This is my small contribution to that legacy.
