Surrounded by the love of my friends and family on this night!!!

My Mehndi night was the start to my festivities and my oh my was I nervous....but as soon as my family got behind me that night for a blasting and emotional entrance all those feelings of nervousness and being on the verge of throwing up disappeared, and there grew an overwhelming sense of excitement and confidence that I still can't up until this day explain.

The thing about family and good friendship is that you may not see or talk to one another every other day, but when it comes to showing up and being present in the moment, there's no better way to express your love for one another - we pick up exactly from where we left off the last time...and that's an absolutely beautiful thing!!!

I decided to have a Sungeet and Sehra night full of dance and fun...So much so that I actually forgot to adorn the rest of my hands with Mehndi that night. Luckily enough I had the super talented Faseeha (thehennavault) to help me out with that. This amazing henna artist sat up with me that exact night until 3am and even stayed the night!

The exquisite entrance that my cousins/sisters/brothers gave me fills my heart with so many emotions each and every time I watch this video. That was and will always be my absolute highlight, along with the very emotional brother performance and group dance with all my favs!
