Showers and storms are likely this morning as an area of low pressure moves off to the northeast. This will be a tightly wound system providing strong winds with gusts near 40mph but higher in individual storms. Some of these storms could become strong to severe producing damaging wind and hail. Rain will come to an end by afternoon with clearing skies and falling temperatures.
