Jai Alai is a traditional Basque sport considered the fastest game in the world due to the speeds at which the ball travels before it hits the wall.
In the 1960s, I was an aficionado when it was popular in Barcelona, Spain. Unfortunately, the players were lured to where the big money was, (Manila and later Miami) and we were robbed of the spectacle. Finally, it was banned in the Philippines for its excessive gambling. In recent years it has returned to the Catalan capital and is gaining popularity again.
