I find simplicity in my life, while being a single mom, by recognizing that I have the choice to say "no" when I want to and to live as freely as I want.
My son has a minimalist for a mom, so that means I only allow a certain amount of things in our home, and this includes limited toys, clothes, and everything else!
All of our things fit into two suitcases and two backpacks total. By living in this way, our lives are simpler and our days are smoother, because I have less to clean, and care for. My home doesn't get as cluttered as other homes probably do. We can value what we own more this way and recognize we don't need much to be comfortable.
Minimalism isn't only physical -- it's also mental! As a single mom, I only have room for a drama and chaos-free life for a more balanced and quiet home. This requires managing who is allowed in our lives, as well as making sure that we are always growing and reaching new levels for ourselves.
