About Street Voices:
Street Voices is a youth-led online platform for marginalized youth in Toronto.
Street Voices was founded by Joel Zola in 2014. Zola was living in various homeless shelters in Toronto when he realized there is no platform for marginalized communities to have their voice heard, so he made one.
Since then Street Voices has grown from a print magazine into an online media platform for street-involved and at-risk marginalized youth to share their stories, artwork, and opinions with the masses.
Over the years, Street Voices has also held weekly workshops for artists, live performance events, and publishing opportunities.
Street Voices’s mission is to empower, inform and uplift marginalized communities.
