Beta readers (people who give you initial feedback on your manuscript) are a super helpful aspect of editing a book. I've appreciated their feedback immensely, even when they gave tough advice to hear.
Because I just finished one round of beta readers and I'm recruiting more for the next, I thought that this topic would be perfect to talk about on my channel! Not to mention that many of you made significant progress in your WIPs during NaNoWriMo and are ready for the next step.
This video covers:
1. What beta readers are
2. How to prep a manuscript for them
3. How to find them / what kind of person to ask
4. All the information you might want them to know beforehand
5. How to send and keep track of the responses
Happy writing! Let me know if you have any more suggestions or questions about beta readers!
If you are interested in becoming a reader this January 2020 for Into the Unreal - the sequel to Firian Rising - let me know in the comments, or email me at carly@carly-stevens.com
