NB A correction.. This video is primarily about the original gearbox the ZF 5HP (5 speed)
In the video I talk about the later boxes as the 6 SPEED (also ZF) And I talk about the XKR's getting the Mercedes box at their launch. I incorrectly imply that the Mercedes Box is a 6 speed.

-- 'The Mercedes box (W5A580) is still a 5 speed with the 6HP26 arriving in 2002.
The ZF 6HP released in 2002 was the World's first production 6 speed auto box as fitted to many BMWs, later Jag S-Type and XJ X350. Ford and GM copied it under a licensing arrangement with ZF after a few years'.--
