Georgia''s presidential election is going to a second round after no single candidate took enough votes in the first. The ruling party backed a former french ambassador, Salome Zurabishvili took the lead by a small margin, taking 38% of the vote, followed closely by the opposition leader, Grigol Vashadze, only one point behind. The run-off is due to take place before the first of December.
