Avoid These Medications Before Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy: NSAIDs and Acetaminophen. So we’ve learned through my other videos that platelet rich plasma injections are an effective treatment option for arthritis and tendon problems. And to get even better results, there are many things that you can control and things that you can do that will ultimately affect the outcomes of your PRP procedure. One of these things is medications. There are certain medications that should be stopped prior to a PRP injection. These medications can negatively affect platelet aggregation as well as outcomes.
