Manguo swamp is a beautiful fresh water swamp located about 40 minutes drive from Nairobi city.The swamp is an attraction to lots of water birds breeding here.
In this video, am joined by my friend who loves water birds.
Its a cool morning and we start by walking around the swamp.
Most of the water birds were foraging along the adge of the water.Some were feeding on the mudflats.
Some of the birds we managed to video and photograph are:
Red-billed Teal, Yellow billed Duck, Black-winged Stilt, Wood Sandpiper, Red-knobbed Coot, Hamerkop, White-faced whistling Ducks, African Spoonbill, Common Snipe, Blue-billed Teal, Mdagascar pond Heron, Yellow-Wagtail, Glossy and Hdada Ibises, Cape Wagtail, Plain Martin and Yellow-billed Stork.
