This is a myth. Sperm discharge during nights will not cause low sperm count.It happens because of lack of masturbation.Low sperm count is generally because of congenital factors. For instance klinefelter syndrome is a common disorder which happens in one in 400 men.Also there could be abnormalities in white chromosomes. Acquired causes can be infection to testis.Sometimes sperm is being produced normally but it does not come out properly due to various disorders..This is called obstructive azoospermia. Cystic fibrosis,tuberculosis,ejaculatory obstructive duct are such disorders.
