The Queens Night Market takes place every Saturday (weather permitting) from April To October except for 2 weeks at end of august. They close for 2 weeks to accommodate the US Open Tennis Tournament.
There are over 60 food vendors dishing out amazing food. All the blue tents are food stalls and orange tents are artisan vendors. The price ranges from $4 to $6 a dish.
Get there early as lines get big and food does sell out.
Check their IG page for updates. @queensnightmarket
There are five rows of vendors.
A large area for picnicking with live music. Bring a blanket and hang out.
They also have alcohol for purchase.
It truly becomes a night market as the sun goes down
Some of my favs are Burmese Bites, Malaysian Project and Moon Man. This year it was the
Sichuan ice jelly that was a surprise hit for me and Fuska the Indian street food from the Bengal region.
Transportation:
The best way to get there is by the 7 train. Get off at the 111th street stop. Its about a 7 to 10 minute walk. The Night Market takes place behind the Hall of Science. Cut through the parking lot on 111th and you are there quicker. GPS will take you to the Mets Citi Field Stop. You can reach from there, however its a longer walk. There is a parking lot but its not big enough and they charge about $15. Street parking is not easy as its a residential neighborhood .
