The first part of the video was filmed on a Sunday evening, from about 5pm to 7pm, and reveals quite a deal of loco hauled activity for what was essentially just a 2 hour slot.
Due to camcorder battery life considerations, I didn't tend to video DMUs and HSTs as a general rule, and this visit to Paddington was no exception. However, this did mean I had enough power to capture double Class 50s on a parcels turn.
Locos featured include:
50 008 Thunderer
50 015 Valiant/ 50 043 Eagle
50 035 Ark Royal
47 602 Glorious Devon
47 457 Ben Line
47 513 Severn.
An early Sunday evening visit to Paddington on 24th April, saw more Class 47 activity than I was expecting and only 3 different Class 50s, 034 Furious, 025 Invincible and 017 Royal Oak.
Two Class 31s provide the ECS and shunting duties as was common at Paddington, rather than a Class 08.
The section covering the early May Bank Holiday weekend begins with Class 47s 628 Sir Daniel Gooch and 484 IKB at Paddington on Sunday 1st May.
A return to Paddington on the Monday saw 50 008 Thunderer and 47 602 Glorious Devon.
