Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) serving the needs of patients with medically complex conditions, multiple conditions and complications, often needing extended recovery times. Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital patients are usually admitted after a short-term acute care stay in a traditional hospital.
We provide continuity of care for chronically and/or critically ill patients, regardless of the diagnosis. Unlike nursing homes or skilled nursing facilities, Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is designed to address the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual nursing and rehabilitation needs of each patient while in an acute care setting.
