Connie Lichti has been part of the Melbourne ceramics community for 20 years. She began learning wheel throwing pottery techniques and skills at the age of 45 at the Carlton Arts Centre. Her hobby transformed into a passion motivating her to teach her techniques where she first learned them and she began offering wheel throwing workshops at Northcote Pottery Supplies.
In 2016 Connie’s passion for ceramics and teaching inspired her to create the Pottery Learning Centre. Teaching wheel throwing pottery techniques to small classes at her studio in Derrimut, Victoria, she offers students one-on-one support and instructive feedback on their unique style. Connie was an absolute beginner when she enrolled into a pottery class, but as she progressed she discovered her passion and shares this passion via her dedication in supporting students with their aspirations.
