Trivandrum/Kochi, Nov 07 (ANI): Counting of votes for the local body elections in Kerala is underway and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) has taken an early lead according to trends. The Congress led United Democratic Front (UDF) and Communist led LDF have been wining in most of the seats with neck to neck fight until 11 am. The Bharatiya Janata Party has also been making headway with the party leading in nine wards. It is in the second position in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation ahead of the UDF. There is a festive mood outside the counting centres at Kochi as the supporters of winning candidates have gathered in large numbers. Former chief minister E.K. Nayanar's daughter Usha Praveen lost the Ravipuram division in Cochin. Counting has begun in all the 244 centres across Kerala.
