November is holiday time in America. It’s Thansgiving. The first Thanksgiving took place in 1620. Then people from England said thank you to Native Americans who helped them to survive on a new land.

In our school we celebrate Thanksgiving too.

This year we designed thank you cards for our teachers, friends and family members and hung them on a holiday tree, we created thanksgiving booklets on the symbols of the holiday and learned new words.

We also had a special menu. Today our thanksgiving meal is pumpkin soup, turkey with cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. We are also going to have some apple pie.

Thanksgiving is a time of great fun and enjoyment for our schoolmates!
