The TransformWR strategy is Waterloo Region’s plan to do our part in addressing climate change, in order to create a low carbon community that is equitable, prosperous, and resilient. It outlines our community’s pathway to an 80% greenhouse gas emission reduction by 2050, and identifies local actions that can be taken in Waterloo Region to reduce emissions 30% by 2030.
