It's the early hours of counting, and the TMC right now is leading in around 389 Gramme Panchayat seats and in around 136 Gramme Samiti seats. The BJP and Congress are the only ones left to open the account. These are the early trends, whereas in several crucial areas like Howrah, North 24 Pargana, and South 24 Pargana, It's all TMC who is leading from the seats. Though these are the initial trends, clearly at each of the accounting booths there is high tension because all the political parties have asked their polling agent and counting agent to be present at the spot, and the parliamentary forces along with the state police are also present. So clearly, all eyes are on the counting booths where the CCTV cameras are, and continuous monitoring is going on. Right now, there is no violence that has been reported from any of the areas.
