Sub oscillators are cool things that create bass notes following your melody with an offset of usually -1 or -2 octaves. There are plenty of them in the Eurorack world, some also in the classic synths (SH101 for example), but none in the System 100 (no matter if original or Behringer). Also clock dividers or audio rate sequencers are missing here, so there is no easy way to create a sub osc with the System 100 alone. Complicated ways, however, are available, so let me share a few patch ideas to craft sub oscillators in the (Behringer) System 100.
0:00 intro
1:08 sub oscillator basics
4:26 patch #1: gate delay (not good)
5:27 patch #2: two VCOs sync'd (works, but isn't a sub oscillator)
6:59 patch #3: T-FlipFlop based sub oscillator (way too complex)
18:22 patch #4: S&H based sub oscillator (pretty much ok)
22:32 some impro with patch 3
28:53 some impro with patch 4
