This product is effective for tender, poisonous, Brucella, giant, heap type, gentle and mild Eimeria precocci, etc.In particular, it has the strongest effect on Eimeria tenella, which also has a certain effect on rabbit coccidia. Clopidol has a peak effect on coccidia during the sporozoite stage(the first day after infection),which is mainly inhibited. Within 60 days after administration, sporozoites cannot develop in intestinal epithelial cells. Therefore, it must be administered before or at the same time as the chicks are infected with coccidia in order to fully exert the anti-coccidia effect. Clopidol is suitable for prophylaxis and has no significance for the treatment of coccidiosis. This product can inhibit the immunity of chickens to coccidiosis, and premature withdrawal of the drug can easily lead to outbreaks of coccidiosis. Coccidia are prone to develop resistance to Clopidol.
When 125 mg/kg of Clopidol was mixed with feed, 2 days after stopping the premix, the residual amount in the chicken tissue decreased to less than 100 μg/kg. For chickens in cages, after 5 days of premix withdrawal, the residues in tissue were less than 10 μg/kg. However, after 5 days of stopping the premix in flat-raised chickens, the residue in tissue can still reach about 600 μg/kg, which is due to the fact that clopidol is excreted in the feces and remains in the bedding, causing the chickens to ingest it again.
