Today we are going to take a look at the alcohol-based dual-tipped brush markers from Altenew: [ Ссылка ]
The line of brush/bullet markers features 60 colors to match their line of ink and they are available in packs of 4 (same color family) and 12 (sets a,b,c,d,e as well as the primary essential set we will look at today.) *If you get the primary set you will have doubles in other sets so be sure to look at the set options if you choose to buy. These markers were sent to me for free for review purposes.
Pros:
*Refill inks available
*Brush nib replacements availabe
*Price: Affordable --$4 per marker, $6 refill inks, $6 pack of 3 nibs
* High-quality foam rubber style nibs (as opposed to felt nibs that fray)
*Very flexible brush nibs with good spring back
*Also has a bullet nib for tight areas
*Colors blend and layer well
Cons:
*If you start with the Essential primaries set and decide you want the whole collection you will end up with duplicates.
Bottom line:
These markers are really great. I had an easy time working with them and blending colors together even with the big jumps in color in the set I used. I think the price is fair and the quality is comparable to Copic, Blick Studio Brush markers, Art-n-Fly and Spectrum Noir Illustrator. My only caution is if you are planning of building up a collection you will want to pick up the a,b,c,d,e sets, or the 4 count color family sets to avoid duplicating colors.
