In December 2021, after finishing with railfanning session at Uruli, I decided to board Nizamabad Pune DEMU Express Train to Pune. Between Daund and Pune, it only halts at Uruli. Since the DEMU was empty, I took a chance of travelling onboard. The description of my journey compilation can be read as follows;
1) Showcasing Exterior Look - 10 Coach Pune Solapur DEMU Superbly honks and speeds past Manjari Budruk at 100kph. It has RSA with Pune - Nizamabad Via Daund DEMU Express, Nizamabad to Pandharpur DEMU, Pandharpur to Nizamabad DEMU, Nizamabad to Pune DEMU, Pune to Solapur DEMU, Solapur to Wadi DEMU, Wadi to Solapur DEMU and then Solapur to Pune DEMU.
2) An Image showing Multiple RSA's (Rake Sharing Arrangements) of 10 coach DEMU.
3) 10 Coach Nizamabad Pune DEMU Express doing a terrific 100kph run on a rural stretch between Uruli and Loni stations. Shortly we will furiously speed through Loni Railway Station and Loni Goods Yard too. Uruli to Loni, 12kms done in 10Mins flat. We departed from Uruli at 18:05Hrs.
4) We had to reach Pune at 19:00Hrs, running before time, we were halted for 10mins at Manjari Budruk. After getting a starter, we start accelerating effortlessly.
5) At one point, I thought we will take unscheduled halt at Hadapsar but then we skipped Hadapsar Via Terminus Line. You can see Brand New LHB Coach train stabled and then we overtook empty Boxn rake with WDG4 and WDG4D waiting on main line.
6) Interiors Of Bio - Toilet - Although the Toilet entrance was narrow and overall toilet was small but still it was decent and kept clean by daily passengers. Windows closed no ventillation. For urinating, its OK but if one has to poop it can be bit suffocating. Still providing toilet in DEMU is a great move. For years memu/demu didnt have toilets.
7) We were held up for 20mins outside Pune, but was great moment for me capture accelerations made by Azad Hind Express and Pune Daund DEMU. With superb honking, Pune Howrah Superfast Azad Hind Express superbly accelerates once coming on main line with Howrah WAP-7# 30640.
8) 8 Coach Pune Daund Memu furiously goes past us at 100kph.
9) At 19:10Hrs, as we were about to enter Pune Jn, also got to capture crossing of Bikaner Yesvantpur Express with KJM WDP-4# 20040. We terminated at 19:15Hrs, 15mins late but watching train crossings was fun. We were held up for long since all platforms at Pune were full and also there was no express train behind DEMU. So controllers made us wait but it was fun at same time capturing train crossings.
10) DEMU had already terminated at Pune and since DEMU was about to leave for yard, so I couldnt take interior coverage for some more time.
