As technology continues to advance, so does the mountain of electronic waste (e-waste) we produce. Our project, "Study on Electronic Waste Recycling," sheds light on the critical issue of e-waste generation and the dire consequences it has on our environment and health.
E-waste is the byproduct of our rapidly expanding technological sector and consumption-driven society. When electronic products reach the end of their life or become obsolete, they contribute to the growing e-waste problem. This waste is not just a clutter of discarded gadgets; it's a repository of toxic materials harmful to humans and the planet. Components like mercury, lead, cadmium, flame retardants, barium, and lithium found in e-waste can inflict severe damage on our brain, heart, liver, kidneys, and skeletal systems. These toxins can infiltrate groundwater, impacting land and sea animals, and even contribute to air pollution.
🌍 Our Aim/Objectives/Benefits:
The primary aim of our micro-project is to create awareness about the pressing need for e-waste recycling. The treatment process for e-waste involves dismantling, processing, and end processing. Dismantling is the crucial first step to separate hazardous and valuable components. Subsequent processing involves fragmenting materials to liberate them from compounds and separating them for responsible disposal or recycling.
By highlighting the alarming growth in e-waste and its detrimental effects, we hope to inspire action and promote responsible disposal practices. Our project aims to empower individuals and communities to make informed choices about e-waste management and contribute to a healthier planet.
