Josh Beckett was drafted 2nd overall out of high school in the 1999 amateur draft. He grew up idolizing fellow Texans Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan, and he embodied them when he was on the mound: poised, intimidating, and aggressive. In his 14 year career, he won two world series titles. One with the Marlins (In which he was the world series MVP) in 2003 , and another one in 2007 with the Red Sox (He won the ALCS MVP that year as well). Beckett was robbed of the Cy Young award that same year in which he led all of MLB in wins with 20. He ended his career stellar career with the Dodgers. And in his final year, he threw a no-hitter and ended with a solid 2.88 ERA.
