The night of Yalda is one of the most important nights of the year for the people of Iran. It is the longest night of the year, a celebration of the arrival of winter, and an occasion for families to gather together, share stories, read *Shahnameh*, and enjoy each other's company. However, this year's Yalda night was different for the Doora farm family. While the grandmother had just returned to the farm after mourning the loss of her nephew, the atmosphere was far from festive. Despite the usual joy and warmth of the season, the family was weighed down by sorrow.

On this night, while the grandmother was still grieving, and as Mahbubeh continued to struggle with her illness, she couldn't join the family in their Yalda celebration and had to rest in bed. Despite these challenges, other family members like Ghodrat and Azam came to the farm to spend the evening together. Although the night lacked its usual cheer, the family’s presence brought a sense of togetherness, as they kept the tradition alive, even in the face of hardship.
