This lovely melody 'You Don't Know What Love Is' by Don Raye and Gene DePaul has been performed by jazz ensembles and singers in may ways - as a ballad, salsa, or swing. Jazz pianist Simplicius Cheong with bassist Billy Martnez and Sanip Ismail have chosen to begin the tune as a ballad and then a swing. The performance by the trio at the Campus Concerts 91, National University of Singapore, was presented by Esso Singapore and NUS, on October 2, 1991.
