This Jonathan King creation was the only charted single by the English group. As verified by King himself in his book “70 FFFY (Autobiography Vol. 2),” this U.S. single featured the song's original recorded version (with its bloody Asian butchered sacred cow reference). British Decca, though, was purportedly concerned about that particular lyric--offending religious groups? hurting radio airplay?--and had the passage replaced with a more benign comment about birth control for the UK commercial 45 release.
