Maharashtra BJP Member of Parliament, Pritam Munde, has expressed support for the protesting women wrestlers, emphasizing the need to promptly address their grievances. Pritam, being the first BJP MP from the state to back these athletes, has demanded the investigation and subsequent apprehension of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), who is also a BJP MP. Pritam highlighted the significance of taking such complaints seriously, asserting that the relevant authorities should conduct a thorough inquiry. While advocating for a fair investigation, she emphasized that disregarding the concerns raised by women wrestlers would be unacceptable. Pritam conveyed these sentiments during her visit to Beed, her constituency, on Wednesday. It is worth mentioning that Pritam is the daughter of the esteemed late BJP leader, Gopinath Munde.
