Vlogの一種と言えるのだろうか,いや言えない
During Japan's traditional Obon vacation, I went to Japan's western prefectures of Oita, Shimane and Nara, with undesired two tropical storms -- Khanun and Lan -- approaching exactly where I was.
On the first day I went to Beppu, which is famous for Beppu Onsen hot spring resort.
0:03 Actually It was the first time for me to take the whole section of the Tokaido and San-yo Shinkansen bullet train lines, which connects Tokyo and Hakata. Due to the severe tropical storm Khanun the train was forced to reduce its speed, but it was fortunate that I could listen to train announcements that cannot usually be heard.
The inn at which I stayed (0:15) was so comfortable, especially its hospitality and hot spring. I did not know about Beppu Tower (0:14), but it has actually been registered as Japan's cultural tangible properties -- I should have visited it.
Disappointing is JR Kyushu's train announcement, the amount of which is much less than most of the other railways' one. The train operator in Kyuhu recently introduced an artificial voice for its train announcement, which disappointed some railway fans. I, meanwhile, like the voice itself, but I do think they should have it speak all the more because it is no longer necessary to record one sentence another thanks to the introduction of artificial voice.
It was Shimane to which I headed on the second day. On the way there, I could for the first time as well take a 500 series Shinkansen, which I used to want to ride when I was an elementary school student, from Kokura to Shin-Yamaguchi. The kingfisher-like train, along with White and Blue Kamomes, was being yearned for by children decades ago. I could finally realize my childhood dream to ride them.
After arriving at Okayama, I took the limited express super Oki to Izumoshi station, in which I was fortunately able to have a seat on a non-reserved seating car. Due to its checking the condition of the rail, it arrived there about an hour behind schedule.
In Shimane I went to two locations -- Izumo and Matsue. I went to Izumo Taisha shrine first, listening to the train announcement on the Ichibata Electric Railway (0:24), in which, as had been informed by a comment, the non-restrictive relative adverb was used upon arriving at the final stop. Near Izumotaisha-mae station is a Dehani 52, which was said to have been used for a movie I have never watched. I would like to watch the movie named RAILWAYS.
After that I went to Matsue Shinjiko hot spring, where I could enjoy another beautiful hot spring.
The following day I headed for Osaka, Nara and Kyoto area via Okayama with the limited express Yakumo (0:25). For three days I had been riding a train, especially the Kintetsu Line, the Nara Line and the special rapid service trains between Amagasaki and Yamashina with Nara Mankitsu Free Kippu, or literally Free Ticket for Enjoying Nara. Near JR's Nara station candle festival was being held, which was so beautiful that I filmed (0:27)
Although there are no scenes on this video, it was Kyoto Ramen and Inoda coffee that I found was so delicious. Both of them are available in Kyoto station. It was surprised that the waitless asked me whether THEY CAN put sugar and milk in the coffee, rather than I WISH them, like this: "砂糖とミルクをお入れしてもよろしいですか~?" -- よろしいですか should be a point, making me think that it is putting the sugar and milk that is normal rather than black coffee, which was eventually true. Some website say that it is more normal to do so in Kyoto, and the coffee in which the sugar and milk was put was so delicious, much more delicious than any other coffee with them. It is all the more surprising that I felt so because I usually prefer the black one!
It was when Lan is about to come to Osaka that I had to go back home, the Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train was so crowded, but it was quite lucky for me to have been able to book a seat near the speaker!
