Kawasaki H2R, Kawasaki Ninja H2R-
THE LEGENDARY NINJA.
2018 Kawasaki Ninja H2R
Kawasaki Motor has launched the 2017 Ninja H2, H2 Carbon and the mighty H2R in the country just weeks after introducing these models at the INTERMOT show in Germany. Dealerships across India have commenced accepting orders for the flagship H2 models. While the H2 was introduced in India last year, the track only H2R comes here now and is priced at a whopping Rs 69.80 lakh. Meanwhile, the 2017 H2 carries a price tag of Rs 33.30 lakh and the limited edition H2 Carbon is priced at Rs 39.80 lakh (All prices, ex-showroom Delhi)
Kawasaki’s supercharged H2R accelerates at a rate beyond any production bike in the world, and this was put into sharp focus while attempting to knock down the door to 200 mph. Full throttle will flip the ferocious H2R in the first two gears if you’ve been brave enough to switch off the traction control, and acceleration is so fierce in third gear that a full handful of twistgrip will cause the H2R’s winglets to assume a positive angle of attack as the bike wheelies, threatening to launch into the sky.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2™R hypersport motorcycle is an engineering marvel, made possible only through the sourcing of technological expertise from multiple divisions of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI). The result of this unprecedented collaboration is a system of carefully crafted premium components and World Superbike racing inspired next-level electronics that work in concert to create an unbelievably powerful machine—one that’s more than worthy of the legendary H2 name.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2™ is designed to be the ultimate performance street-legal motorcycle, built using state of the art technologies with cooperative development across Kawasaki’s high-performance motorcycle, aerospace and gas turbine divisions. The Ninja H2 is designed to be highway legal and comes with full lighting and mirrors, DOT-approved tires, street-legal muffler, and Ninja H2-specific front and side cowlings. The Ninja H2 will provide its owner with the ride of a lifetime.
The Ninja H2™ streetbike’s supercharged engine creates unprecedented power for remarkable acceleration. The heavy growl of the boosted liter-class engine is a sound the streets won’t soon forget.
Designed to offer riding excitement at a level never before experienced, the unprecedented Ninja H2 combines the joy derived from sport riding and the kind of intense acceleration that made the 1971 H2 (750SS Mach IV) a worldwide sensation. Tapping into the technological know-how possessed by the KHI Group, it has elevated motorcycle technology to a new level.
The Ninja H2R is Kawasaki's flagship offering and was first unveiled at the EICMA Motorcycle show in 2015. The litre-class offering is a strictly track-only bike, not legal on public roads, given the overwhelming power and is also the only bike at present to get supercharging tech on board. In fact, the Ninja H2R is a good 50 per cent more powerful than the road legal H2 that makes 197bhp of power. To give you perspective of how powerful the H2R is; well, it holds the record of hitting a top speed of 400 km/h.
For the 2017 model year, the upgraded Ninja H2 and H2R benefit from a host of changes including Kawasaki's advanced electronics package now equipped with IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit), updated KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control) and KIBS (Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-Lock Braking System.
2020 YAMAHA YZF-R1 AND YZF-R1M REVIEW-
2020 Yamaha YZF-R1-
Yamaha has unveiled the all-new 2020 R1 and its even faster twin, the R1M, for the international market at the American WSB round in Laguna Seca. We hope Yamaha India brings the new R1 to our shores by the end of this year. The Yamaha engineers have worked on the styling of this already radical looking superbike R1 to make it mimic the MotoGP machine. This has been done with a new screen and fairing that now flows in line with the tank. Yamaha claims that the aerodynamics of the new R1 is up by 5.3 per cent. Also, the new design is more suitable for a more broader range of riders.
The 2020 Yamaha R1M and R1 benefit from Yamaha’s experience in competitions like MotoGP, World Superbike and MotoAmerica Superbike races.

In terms of mechanical specifications, the 2020 YZF-R1 and YZF-R1M use the latest 998 cc inline four-cylinder crossplane crankshaft engine. For 2020, Yamaha has retained the titanium fracture-split connecting rods and offset cylinders while the cylinder head, fuel injectors, finger-follower rocker arms, and camshaft profiles are new. The motor is now Euro-V compliant although the power output remains unaltered at 200 HP at 13,500 rpm on the YZF-R1.
The comprehensive rider aid package includes Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS), Lift control system (LIF), Launch Control System (LCS) and Quick Shift System (QSS) with upshift and downshift.
