How much fuel does a wood-burning stove use on a freezing cold day? This video shows the Kodiak Lodge Tent and the Colorado Cylinder Spruce Stove. At 10 degrees outside it takes about 22 minutes to make it nice and warm. I was blown away. I thought it was more like 40 minutes or so.
This video also shows the best fuel to use and how much it costs ($2 a bundle discounted from Walmart). Keep in mind when you use a wood-burning stove most people heat the tent in the morning when getting ready and at night when going to bed. You don't have to burn fuel throughout the night and if you have a warm sleeping bag you can burn fuel, but at a slower rate (as shown) to save a buck.
Thanks for your comments and feedback. This video is a direct result of a customers questions about this very topic. Your comments and feedback are the fuel for my motivation to do these videos so if you want to see something else or have other questions please let me know. Thanks for watching - hope it's helpful.
