In this video, I take the traditional Japanese tool box design and give it a unique, personal twist! Initially aiming to make a simple build, I encountered a challenge with not having the right nails—but that turned into an opportunity to create something truly special. Using 1x8 pine for the main construction and some mahogany scraps for contrast, I crafted a tool box that’s as functional as it is beautiful. To top it off, my wife Shelley used her laser engraver to add my logo to the wedge lock and Japanese text to the lid. If you’re curious about what the text says, let me know in the comments!
