As part of Norse Atlantic Airways’s certification process for the Norwegian Civil Aviation Authority, the airline was required to prove their cabin crew would be trained to perform their duties. Norse invited guests on board to fly the special trip from Oslo out to the southern tip of Iceland and back.
The aircraft, a 787-9 with registration LN-FNB, was originally delivered to Norwegian, but never flew in service for the airline. This meant that this was the aircraft’s first passenger flight since it was built by Boeing in 2019.
Norse passed the CAA’a tests and will begin service from Oslo to the USA in June.
