Gonzalo Rubio, a young computer engineer, devotes his talent and energy to create software that helps reach the UN Millenium Goals. Here he presents a software he has designed that allows not only to map water wells in the developing world and the region they serve, helping the volunteers in the ground, but also to connect wells with donors who can send money in order to see the wells multiply and improve. Gonzalo won the Imagine Cup Spain for 3 years in a row. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
